Ellensburg, WA — General Contractor
Your Local Ellensburg Partner
Kittitas Valley Contractors is proud to serve Ellensburg and the surrounding communities. We’re a locally owned general contracting company, which means we understand the unique demands that Central Washington’s weather places on homes and businesses. Our team handles everything from concrete work and carpentry to remodels and additions. Because we live and work here, we know what it takes to build projects that withstand the high desert climate and retain their value over time.
Building for Ellensburg’s Climate
Ellensburg’s weather requires careful planning and quality craftsmanship. Summers are warm and dry, while winters are short, freezing and snowy. Temperatures range from about 23°F to 89°F, with the hottest period running from mid‑June to mid‑September and the coldest period from late November to mid‑February. The freeze–thaw cycles can cause cracking and shifting if concrete is poured incorrectly. We design foundations and structural elements to handle these extremes, so you can enjoy a long‑lasting project without worrying about climate‑related damage.
Proud of Our Role in the Kittitas Depot Restoration
History matters in Ellensburg, and we’re honored to have contributed to preserving one of our community’s most important landmarks. During the Kittitas Depot Historic Preservation project, which rehabilitated the 1909 depot with foundation improvements, roof replacement, window and door repairs, new ADA‑compliant restrooms, updated mechanical and electrical systems and site improvements including paving and concrete flatwork, our team was proud to handle the concrete work. Being part of this project reminded us how craftsmanship and community go hand‑in‑hand.
Local Events and Community Involvement
Ellensburg hosts several signature events each year that showcase the area’s spirit. The Ellensburg Rodeo—one of the nation’s top rodeos—runs from August 29 to September 1, 2025, bringing professional cowboys, thrilling events and a parade to town. Fall kicks off with the Bite of the ’Burg on September 23, 2025, a downtown street festival where local businesses welcome Central Washington University students back to town. In winter, beer lovers flock to the Winterhop Brewfest on January 17, 2026, to sample craft brews and live music. You’ll often see us at these events—because we believe supporting our neighbors is as important as finishing a project on time.
